Help the needy of El Salvador

There are oh so many poor people in El Salvador: homeless and abandoned children and youngsters, jobless men and women, forgotten about elderly.

Many don't have a place to stay. At night they sleep on the sidewalk, sometimes covered by a piece of cardboard carton.

Many lack good food, clean water and decent clothing.

Good works are already being done by different organizations and christian ministries, but there is still much more to be done.

Your help can really make a difference!

Help me publish my testimony

Since early 1998 when I attended a Full Gospel Business Men's training weekend I have felt a strong desire to share my testimony.

In 2001 I set up a web site to share my testimony online. At the time of writing I publish my testimony in four languages.

Also, every month at pay day I buy copies of a tract with my testimony and I hand them out personnally.

Some years ago I published a column in a newspaper of El Salvador with the headlines of my testimony.

During a business trip to Bolivia in February 2007 I published a full page in a local newspaper of the town of Cochabamba.

I would like to get professional translations of my testimony to many different languages and publish them worldwide by any means available.

Help me start up an NGO

Over the years I have considered again and again starting up my own non governmental organization to reach out to the poor.

Unfortunately, as an employee I hardly come by to cover my own family's expenses and other commitments I currently am into.

Apart from offering food and clothing I have thought about establishing "christian acres". Terrains would be bought in safe locations, away from volcanoes and other natural hazards. Housing would be built in a square around the terrain to form a natural fence. A christian church would be built in the middle.

Any major donation would allow me to start up the NGO.

Help me gain my freedom

At the time of writing I am an employee, actually an Analyst Programmer in the IT department of a Utilities company in El Salvador. While I earn about a ten fold of the minimum salvadoran wage, that actually makes only a third of what I made in my last job before I left Belgium in 1996.

Several years ago while browsing the internet I read Gary North's recommendation to christians to try to set themselves free to be able to serve the Lord Jesus without impediments.

"Were you a slave when you were called? Don't let it trouble you — although if you can gain your freedom, do so." says the Bible in 1 Corinthians 7:21 (New International Version).

I would really like to be able to give up my regular job and dedicate myself full time to christian ministry. But I am a married man and father of four small mouths to be fed. By faith I will keep my job until God provides me a different income.
